One year ago…

Where has the year gone? Seems like we were just sitting on the front step, smelling the freshly stained door! The boys have grown up so much. It was quite the adventure getting here to Tennessee. Let me recap…

-resigned from our previous youth job in Alaska.
-finished off summer trips with our awesome students.
-sold house (amazing @ the time)
-moved our entire life into freezing cold storage units.
-moved in with Ak friends.
-job hunted, phone interviewed, made a trip to ATL to check out a church all over three months.
-Nov 5 (my bday) my man bought one way tickets to Missouri to go “visit” his Mom while we scouted opportunities with interested churches.
-landed in St. Louis on Nov 5th, drove to hotel and got a call from Fellowship Jackson to come and interview. so much for job hunting πŸ™‚ thank God for that timing!
-hired as Student Pastor for FBC, looked for houses, closed on the house and moved to Jackson, Tennessee all in 2 weeks. Crazy.
-started student ministry Dec 1.

here we are Dec 15 and I can not believe how much has been accomplished with rebuilding friendships, stablizing the kids in a new place, finishing the adoption of Molly, and growing relationships with students and leaders. WHEW its been a busy year. I’m so thankful for each and every provision as we’ve laid our hope in Christ…for our lives, our family, our kids education, and our ministry to families. Fulfilled HOPE is the theme for this past year.
