passing down skillz

My Momma has skillz. She learned them from her Mother and has passed them down to me and now my children. As we count down for the day of her arrival from Oregon…we all plan out what can can sew, bake, and make with Grammy. She sets up sewing camp and makes a bed skirt for Molly’s big girl bed. The boys gather all their things than need mending. She gets busy with a stitch here and there, broken baby doll legs are restored, holes in shirts patched up, curtains hemmed, and homemade sugar cookie dough prepared and cut and baked and decorated. She grew up working hard and saw her own Mother get things done. There is nothing Grammy can not fix or create. We love our time with her and the feeling of accomplishment from all our projects coming to life. Thank you Grammy for giving the best gift ever to our family of quality time and memories.
